Developed by Austrian Rudolf Breuss (1899-1990), this treatment is a very gentle massage that safely stretches, nourishes, aligns and energises the spine. This deeply sensitive technique helps to alleviate back pain, relax back muscles, regain spinal mobility and improve blood circulation. It works on the premise that discs do not ‘wear away’ but degenerate and therefore can be ‘regenerated’.
The treatment uses specially prepared oil of hypericum, commonly known as St Johns Wort, which provides exceptional healing properties in relation to the nerve fibres. The oil is absorbed through the skin into the region of the vertebrae where it helps to replenish and regenerate damaged discs, increasing the distance between the vertebrae and therefore results in increasing flexibility.
This is the only massage treatment that uses Japanese Silk Paper, which acts as a capacitor-insulator on the spine.
After a Breuss Massage treatment you will feel deeply relaxed and often taller with improved posture as this massage strengthens, stretches and energises the whole of the spine.
