The Dorn Method is a gentle and safe way to correct misalignments of the Spinal Column, Pelvis and other joints, and in doing so helping to relieve back and joint pain along with associated problems areas such as neck pain, headaches, hip, sciatica, jaw, knee, shoulder and other common problem areas. It is also a self help therapy, free of unpleasant side effects, completely safe with no medication being required. An initial course of three treatments will:-realign your spine and pelvisteach you the daily exercises you will be required to complete on a daily basisdemonstrate correct posture when walking, sitting and standingshow you specific stretching and breathing techniques to help improve your overall health and wellbeing

If you put into place the exercises and advice given and refrain from crossing your legs or sitting on bended legs, you will remain 'aligned' indefinitely. The exception is if you have a curvature of the spine or spondylitis where annual alignment treatment is recommended.

Gentle techniques are used to correct any imbalances in the spine and pelvis and any other joints, such as kness, ankles, wrists, shoulders and so on.are used if necessary.

All corrections happen in a 'dynamic' way with the client actually assisting the
Dorn therapist by swinging their leg, arm or head depending upon the area
being worked on to generate muscle movement or 'distraction'. This active
participation helps joints to be brought back into their proper positions quite
easily, without the need for strong force, making Dorn a very safe and gentle
  treatment.

The Dorn Method is excellent for addressing current health problems as well as a
preventative measure to avoid health problems in the future. It is also great for
ladies who may be planning to have a baby to help their spine and pelvis adapt
well to the changes brought about by pregnancy and the demands on the body
of carrying the baby afterwards.

The Dorn Method is about SELF-HELP though and you will only achieve the results you desire if you use the 'tools' that will be given to you.

The Dorn Method is not suitable for the following conditions: Acute inflammation or fever; Paralysis; Acute migraine attacks; Any recent accidents; Post surgery of discs (within 8 weeks); Cancer; Acute prolapsed disc(s); Ongoing cortisone medication due to possible brittle bones; Immobility
